Energy and Power-to-Gas
Projects exploring the conversion of electricity into hydrogen and its use as an energy carrier. Integration with renewable sources and end-use systems must be defined for each project.
Energy · Automotive · Research
From laboratory trials to energy projects, on-site hydrogen generation can support research, development and experimental work.
ILT Energia works with companies and technical teams to assess generators against application needs, test bench requirements and operating conditions.
Let’s discuss your projectApplication areas
Each experimental activity has different needs. Purity, flow rate, pressure and continuity of supply are the starting point for assessing a solution.

Research and testing related to hydrogen in mobility, including assessment of the supply requirements of experimental components and systems.
Test bench requirements determine system sizing and any additional gas treatment or compression equipment.
Application testing, prototype development and trials of new processes: on-site generation is assessed with the research team, based on the protocol and expected consumption.
A project developed at ILT
Electrolysers produce hydrogen during testing. The project developed at ILT began with a practical question: how could this gas be recovered and put to new uses?
The aim is to make use of hydrogen from testing through a recovery and reuse system, connecting production, gas management and internal demand.

01 / Recover
The starting point is gas produced during electrolyser testing, which the project aims to recover rather than release.
02 / Manage
The process described in the project includes a dedicated compression and storage stage, designed around subsequent uses.
03 / Reuse
The uses described include a hydrogen-fired boiler and potential developments for company transport and material handling.

From concept to configuration
Assessing a solution requires specific data: the gas required, purity, minimum and maximum flow rates, pressure, and the duration and frequency of tests.
These details guide the assessment of compatibility with the experimental system and any additional equipment required.
